SO.
Before we had the massive 8 snow days in a row; we did some action scripting tutorials. They were fairly easy, so I'll just give you a brief overview of the two.
The first tutorial required us to download a mini game file. The mini game consisted of an underwater scene and a diver; the goal was to avoid the sealife coming towards you. The turoial asked us to open the actinscripting panel for the game, and adjust the number of enemis to make it easier; all it required was typing a smaller number in the correct line of code.
The second also required a download of a mini gam file; but, this one was of a pond scene and a frog. The goal of the game was to try and catch flies with your tongue. The tutotial asked us to open the actinscript panel, yet again, for the game. The detection of the flies with the tongue was supposed to be extended; therefore making it easier to catch flies. This also involved a simple changing of a number on the correct line of code.
Like I said before, extremely simple stuff. It's all about knowing where t put the code and what line to alter it on to change it the way that you want. (:

Speaking of 8 days of snow if the weaher keeps up we might not be able to finish our games or at least some teams won't namely mine!!! Anyway your post is excellent as far as i can tell but of course I hold the record for most shots with the grammar hammer.
ReplyDeleteIt WAS simple.
ReplyDeleteMy first game didn't load though so I didn't get to do that with you guys. ;(
I really hate how the tutorials aren't in sync usually.
Jamie: That weather was was pretty terrible!
ReplyDeleteCelia: hmm. yeah. that can be such a hassle sometimes.
